El Paso County Judicial Building Location

The El Paso County Judicial Building stands at 270 S Tejon St, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. This is the main courthouse for the county. It houses both District and County Courts. The building is in downtown Colorado Springs.

The Clerk's Office is in Room S101. The Self-Help Center is in Room S116. Both are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Court Care runs from 7:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Note: The Clerk's Office and Self-Help Center close at 3:30 p.m. on the 3rd Wednesday of each month in 2026.

Starting March 28, 2025, Bonded Advisements will be held in Division DST every Friday at 11:00 a.m. Effective July 1, 2025, Rule 120s will be handled in Division 25. Contact D04_Courts_Div25@judicial.state.co.us for these matters.

Certified copies cost $20 each. Regular copies are $0.75 per page. The court accepts various payment methods. Call (719) 452-5490 to confirm current fees.

El Paso County Probate Division

The Probate Division is in Room W150. Walk-up hours are every Wednesday. Protective proceedings run from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Estate cases are handled from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Probate cases include wills, estates, and guardianships. These matters require special forms. The Self-Help Center can provide basic guidance. Complex cases may need an attorney.

The Self-Help Center offers assistance to people without lawyers. Email 04SelfHelp@judicial.state.co.us for information. Staff can explain procedures. They cannot give legal advice.

Interpreter services are available. Request an interpreter at least 48 hours before your hearing. This allows time to schedule the service.

E-filing is available for most case types. Attorneys must file electronically. Self-represented parties may also use e-filing. This speeds up the court process.
